Terms and Conditions - John Gowing Jewellers
Applicable to all purchases made via the John Gowing Jewellers website or telephone, in accordance with English Law. We have taken every step to ensure that the information displayed on the website is accurate as far as possible. The images displayed on the website are not necessarily a representation of the actual size and are limited by computer screen resolution.

All prices are given in British pounds and include the VAT rate of 20%, unless clearly otherwise stated. John Gowing Jewellers reserve the right to alter our prices and specifications without notice.
Terms of purchase
The full price of your order must be paid in advance of dispatching the order. All orders are binding after the payment for the goods is cleared. All orders are subject to stock availability and payment clearance.
Our manufacturers and suppliers comply with the Kimberly Process to ensure all diamonds are responsibly sourced, with a full audit trail to original mine.
Order and delivery information/ process
Upon receipt of your order, you will be sent an automatic email to confirm the order has been placed. John Gowing Jewellers will then contact you the day prior to your order being dispatched with further information.
Unless it is deemed a special order, we aim to process and dispatch items within 3-5 working days of receiving your order. Our delivery service is free in the UK . We send all parcels using either Royal Mail Signed For service or Royal Mail Special Delivery.
John Gowing Jewellers will not be held liable for late delivery of goods caused by circumstances beyond our control. It is the customers responsibility to ensure there is a person to accept the delivery on the day specified. Please ensure that the address given for the delivery (which must correspond to the cardholders billing address) is a secure address.
We are unable to ship overseas unless a prior arrangement has been made. In which case a delivery charge will be applicable.
John Gowing Jewellers accept orders online via a secure payment system. We accept all major credit and debit cards and all transactions are subject to validation checks and authorised by the card issuer.
If the issuer of the card refuses to authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery of your order. The responsibility for loss or damage of the items passes to the customer at the point of receipt of goods.
Cancellations & returns
You have 7 days after receipt of goods to cancel an order. Written confirmation of the cancellation is required within this time by email, fax or letter before returning the goods using the same standard of postage as used for delivery. The goods must still be in their original unworn condition with all packaging and documentation included at time of posting.
It is the customers’ responsibility to ensure safe delivery of cancelled orders back to John Gowing Jewellers. Returns are made at the customers own expense.
We will not accept goods for return if they were special orders, engravings or earrings unless the goods are deemed to be faulty.
Data protection & privacy:
John Gowing Jewellers collects customer data from this website for our own marketing use only. We will not release any personal details to any third parties.
